As of October 2005 ACC Performance took on a new owner who brings aircraft engineering and Six Sigma quality standards to the high-performance torque converter industry. ACC Performance uses the best manufacturing processes combined with just-in-time manufacturing and NASA-style welding practices to get you the highest quality parts available combined with impeccable delivery times.

• BOSS HOG torque converters are welded, not furnace brazed

• They use industrial Torrington-type bearings. Light-duty needle bearings are good, but not great. Industrial bearings give these converters the ability to handle thousands of pound feet of torque.

• Aircraft Aluminum Washers. ACC Performance Products torque converters utilize an aircraft quality aluminum washer instead of those old fiber washers that other companies use. This will decrease inefficiencies and ensure you have a ready-to-install converter.

• Every BOSS HOG torque converter is hand built. All ACC Converters are hand built and tested to ensure that you are getting the best converter money can buy! No automated process can ensure this kind of quality.

We are the Official Marketplace for the Transmission Industry.

If it can shift a gear, we've got it here!

Well, it's all in the name.. here at Transmissions.com we bring together the top transmission brands from across the country.

Sort them, for price, quality, warranty, shipping, customer satisfaction and more.

You tell us what's most important to you and we do the shopping for you, plain and simple.

On top of that, all Transmissions.com Purchases are backed by our exclusive Buyer Protection Program which is above and beyond any retailer's warranty.

Rebuilt transmissions replace the typical common wearable items. You typically see this from a local shop or your buddy in his garage.

Remanufactured transmissions are a much more thorough process. Dissasembling the entire transmission down to the bare case and replacing and upgrading components to a higher standard. Remanufactured transmissions are dyno tested for quality assurance.

Local shops serve a purpose and that is to help get you back on the road for installation or repairs.

However when looking for the best value, price, warranty, and quality.. we "know our shift". Rather than be limited to your local shop, we actually compare top transmission brands from across the country to get you the best value possible.

We often hear from customers looking to purchase a transmission from Summit or JEGS because of their price or delivery options. Please note that big box online retailers may appear to have what you want and at an unbeatable price, but that is often not the case.

Here at Transmissions.com, we are actual transmission specialists and can answer the tough questions. Making sure you are actually getting the right transmission for your vehicle the first time and actually verifying realistic lead times.

The devil is in the details. Make sure when shopping online or locally to obtain a copy of the written warranty. Many companies tend to hide a lot of details that won't protect you when you need assistance.

Transmissions.com purchases are backed by our exclusive Buyer Protection Program, which gives you peace of mind.

Our dedicated team will shop & compare top transmission brands to ensure you get the best bang for your buck.

All you have to do is give us a few bits of information and sit back and relax.

A "core" is the old/original transmission that came from your vehicle. The majority of transmission companies require your old transmission in exchange for the replacement transmission.

Most suppliers have a refundable core deposit that is charged at the time of sale and is refunded later when your core is returned.
